Location: Near Palm Springs, California • Length: 5 miles/ 8 km to summit from Tramway.

San Jacinto Peak at an elevation of 10,834 feet is the highest peak in the San Jacinto Mountains. The view from the summit is spectacular. The most popular route to San Jacinto Peak is from the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. You can park at the Valley Station at 2,643 feet and take the tram to the Mountain Station at 8,516 feet. From the Mountain Station it is about 10 miles to the summit and back to the station. The San Jacinto Hiker also includes other trails and routes to the summit.
