Ownership
You must be a business owner or authorized representative of a business to submit business information to Atlas Guides. Any reference to “you” or “your” in these guidelines pertains to you as a business owner or authorized representative.
Atlas Guides
Any reference to “we” or “us” or “our” in these guidelines pertains to Atlas Guides, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
Eligible Businesses
To qualify for a business listing (a “Listing”) in a mobile application developed by us (an “Atlas Guides App”), your business must offer a service that is helpful to hikers and in a convenient location for hikers.
Ineligible Businesses
The following businesses are not eligible for a Listing:
- New “trail angels”. A “trail angel” is a person or business that offers unofficial services to hikers. We have sole discretion regarding addition of established trail angels to the Atlas Guides Apps.
- Overnight accommodation that is listed solely through Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, TripAdvisor or other similar service.
- Overnight accommodation (including outdoor accommodation) that does not have a permit to operate as such.
- Businesses that have a history of hostility to hikers.
- Businesses that are not near a hiking trail or not in a town that hikers visit.
- We have sole discretion regarding whether a business is eligible for a Listing and may override any of the above criteria for any reason whatsoever.</li
Listing Format
Listings are written in a standard format by us.
Comments
You must agree to our Terms of Use. You must never make hostile, abusive or dishonest comments in an Atlas Guides App. Removal of comments from your Listing is subject to the above-referenced Terms of Use. If a comment does not violate the Terms of Use, it will not be removed from your Listing.
Removal of Listing
We reserve the right to remove your Listing from any Atlas Guide App at any time and for any reason, in particular (a) if you are hostile to or make any threat of any nature to us or our employees, or (b) if you violate these guidelines, or (c) if you violate our Terms of Use. We may work with law enforcement if the violation is unlawful. You may request removal of your Listing any time.
Changes to Guidelines
We may change these guidelines at any time.
